Hermann von Borries

Hermann von Borries was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hermann von Borries died in hospital at Porchow onFebruary 1943.
